Once every few years a very special musician comes along that is touted as "an unbelievable, must see ... unfortunately undiscovered talent." People have been scrambling up hills screaming this about Matt Andersen for the better part of a decade, and finally the rest of the world is starting to pay attention! Matt Andersen won Blues Recording of the Year and Male Solo Recording of the Year at the 2009 East Coast Music Awards. His now legendary unstoppable live performances, that erupt into standing ovations wherever he graces the stage, have garnered him critical and fanatical praise from coast to coast, along with a tour schedule which includes 200+ performances a year in concert halls and headlining festivals across the country. In 2008, Matt and his guitar travelled to the UK to open for legendary delta blues octogenarian "Honeyboy" Edwards, just as Matt's first studio album was released, following two critically acclaimed live albums. Somewhere In-Between added songwriter to his already solid vocal credentials: "Matt Andersen releases an awesome album full of raw blues rockers and brooding ballads." — Maverick. Matt's second studio album, Piggyback, is a compilation CD with harmonica virtuoso Mike Stevens, and he has a third much-anticipated live CD due out before Christmas. A 5-piece band, that plays high energy and danceable gigs. Lonnie Aarssen, Keyboards & vocals; Rollie Dupras, Guitars; Gord Hunter, Drums; Pete Aube, Harmonica; Bill Plaxton, Bass Guitar. Although steeped in the blues, Agent Blue also blends this with elements of jazz and rock in a diverse repertoire of original material, plus original arrangements of cover tunes.
